3 girls together

We went to CC Wards, and the ladies there looked after us really well. A bit of a shame they didn't have more flower-girls frocks for Liv to try on :( ...but I think Julia was in seventh heaven with a whole wall of dresses to choose from!

After talking with Kerry, I have decided not to put any pics of the dresses online, that way it will be a surprise for everyone!

Maria: I will send you piccys via email :)

Surely, this time will mean ring-on-finger?!

A loud raucous noisy sounded the entrance of Kerry, Jordan (13), Olivia (11), and Riley (7). After welcomes and hellos, Kerry took me aside into the kitchen, and while they weren't watching, asked me again if I would marry him, and as I said YES (of course you silly fishy!) he slipped the ring onto my finger.

Then we all sit around admiring it all night, in amongst less important things like going to the gym with Julia (my sister), having dinner, watching telly, going to Chateau Miaow-Miaow (Mum'n'Dads) to show them... :)

OK, this time...maybe?

Yay! It fits! Looks fab and feels like a million dollars. David was very proud of it, and once he heard that I was supposed to give it back to Kerry, so Kerry could give it to me, he whipped it off my finger, into its box, and wrapped it up in rosey gift wrap! I thanked him profusely and rushed home, hoping that Kerry would be there...Alas, he was collecting the kiddlies, so I had to WAIT with that little parcel sitting on top of the bookshelf, calling to me to rip into it. I can't stand the suspense!!!!

Collect the ring!!!

Oh...my...goodness! I went at lunchtime today to collect the ring (Kerry couldn't be there cos he is a very busy bee and had to work). Wow! David opened the little box and I was stunned. That little sapphire and those two diamonds absolutely seduced me! I have never fallen in love so very fast with any jewellery before, and that's saying something as I can be rather picky :P I went to try it on while he served another customer, and wouldn't you know it, the darn thing was too small. Oh horrors, now I wouldn't have the ring for show and tell at work, or at the parents' that evening! David was very kind, and said "no worries, we'll have that fixed and you can collect it after work." Whew!

Visit the ring in bits

After a couple of initial visits, David Brownson has sourced all the gems and pieces for my ring. I am going today to see it with Kerry, to give the final OK to start building it.

Ideas for the ring

How very exciting; I get to design my own ring! Here are a couple of drawings of things I like....I've been to look at some jewellery shops and everything I see is sooo very chain-store it's just not funny. Yes, I will definitely be designing my own ring. After talking with a friend who has recently been married, she suggested going to Brownson's Jewellers as they will custom make your design...

The old walnut tree?

Where shall we wed? We don't want a massively expensive "do", but something simple and elegant, honest and loving. Most of the "wedding venues" around town seem very commercial, and we were both left feeling rather overwhelmed by it all. Seemed so very commercial, like, if you didn't spend $XXXXXXXXXXX.XX then it wasn't done right or something. There must be another way? What about the walnut tree? In our backyard? OK so the garden is not perfect, but the house belonged to my Nana, and has very fond memories for me. Trouble is if it rains, we're screwed, cos the house is nowhere near large enough to accommodate everyone. More thought required....
